Antiquing in Texas

Today was a beautiful day to get out of the house and go antiquing. Probably my most favorite thing to do. This place in Frisco, Texas, was a little on the pricey end so I only bought one thing for my grandsons birthday which was a Mary Meyers stuffed alligator. He is into alligators lately. 

Do you see anything in these photos I should have bought? I see an awful lot. A girl can dream.

Stone wall inspiration

Nothing screams English cottages more than stone walls. I included some photos of some English cottages from Pinterest that motivate me to redo my own kitchen. 

Kitchen and dining inspiration

When I was younger, I would stare at decorating magazines and study them.  My mother had a knack for decorating.  About twice a month she would have me help her move the furniture around and I remember loving the feeling each time. I don't even have one tree in my backyard. Partly, because I can't seem to keep any plant alive and partly because of cost. However, as the saying goes, "how do you eat an elephant?  One bite at a time."
