Scroll stopping sinks
A good farmhouse kitchen sink will be on the budget in the near future. They reminds me of granny's house in her old farmhouse.

Repurpose your items you already have
I almost threw away this little copper wire basket. I bought it on a whim when thrifting a few years ago and never used it. An egg basket? I don't have fresh eggs I can leave out. So, there it sat until I cleaned out my decor that I wasn't using. This takes me to this week. I needed a place for my tea towels so I can grab and go to keep me from using so many paper towels. It holds them perfectly. Now, today I was hand washing some dishes that cannot go in the dishwasher. You know, the old ironstone dishes you can't replace? So here I go back down my rabbit hole looking for a drying rack. Great. The soonest I can get one from Amazon will be a week from now.
I look over and see this basket that happened to be the perfect size for these. Now, the same basket I almost got rid of...I need TWO of them π€ͺ
Since this is an antique, I found one pretty close to this one on Amazon.

A needle book

I had so many sewing needles I would find in random spaces. Sticking in pieces of paper and fabric. I needed a place for them. A safe place. So, this needle book was created by me. No pattern...I created this as I stitched along.

Sunday scroll stoppers
I love being inspired by photos on the internet. I found these on Instagram and wanted to share them with you. This days theme is decorating with white flowers.
I love the white painted wood with the simplicity of the baskets and florals. This reminds me of slow living which is something I've been craving lately.
The wallpaper and the headboard is absolutely beautiful. The same muted tones make them match perfectly.
I have a love for ironstone and these tureen collection is absolutely beautiful how they displayed them.
Peaches and sage muted tones. Love these two colors paired together. Makes for a soft pallet and can we talk about that wicker sofa? π
Plaster and stone paired beautifully together. Reminds me of a very old cottage in Ireland.
I love the patina in these cabinets. I love how they mixed and matched the pieces. It all ties together. Loving the antiques that are perfectly in place.
Thatched roof and a beautiful white flowered tree reminds me of a hobbit house. A beautiful space to sit and read a book and I just love the little basket hanging in the tree.
The color swatches on the table, the wide open window and flowing curtains is so beautiful to me.
I don't know what it is about a small kitchen that I love but isn't this one darling? The shiplap wall, the large picture window and that farmhouse sink. So charming!
White flower heaven! The baskets and creamy whites. Beautiful!
Thanks for viewing my blog! Feel free to leave a comment or 2!

Stripes add visual texture
I have really been loving stripes a lot lately. They add visual texture that I just love in a neutral color pallette.
Mix and match your throw pillows to give that one of a kind unique look to your decor. Most people have matching pillows which is lovely too but try mixing them up amd see what you can come up with. What about the pillow shams on your bed? Turn those into sofa throw pillows for a unique design to your home.

Rearranging furniture
When I was growing up, my mother was constantly changing around the furniture. I used to love a change because it made me feel like I was in a new home. My mother was a fantastic decorator.
It has passed on to me now. I love the feeling of moving things around to accommodate what we need it for at the time.
This round table has been in my entryway for awhile now with the sides folded down. Lately we have been entertaining more and playing 42 in dominoes. We needed another area to play.
I like how this turned out. I have another place to paint and create now which I love to do. Even sit and read with a cup of coffee.

Kitchen Island decor
Sometimes the most practical everyday things can be beautiful. We buy dishes because we like the way they look so why not show them off AND be convenient for you in your kitchen.
Especially of your dishes match your decor.....
I love woods and whites so of course I have all kinds of white plates.
You can add fallen leaves from outside around the dishes or candles or both. Make it you which is beautiful.
Christmas gift wrapping... a different kind of wrap
Have you ever thought of the beauty of just the box? Tear off the labels. Yes, part of the cardboard may come with the tear but it makes it all the more interesting. Adding a pretty ribbon gives such a beautiful contrast.
